Christine Hyde is an award-winning, contemporary visual artist with a bushland studio and attached boutique art gallery in the beautiful UNESCO listed Blue Mountains.  The studio and gallery are often open on weekends as advertised, or by appointment. Christine is always happy to show visitors through. Christine paints in inks, acrylics, oils and watercolours and her developed style is best described as contemporary interpretative. 

 

Christine’s paintings and drawings are of landscapes, dreamscapes and nature reimagined.  Each artwork is a considered response to the vitality and randomness of nature she sees in her immediate natural environment and surrounds - the World Heritage Blue Mountains. Christine's paintings reflect a natural world of intense colour, in which she seeks to capture the luminosity and atmosphere within her vision of the natural world in an impressionist style with expressive splashes.and mark making.

Over the past decade Christine has taken the opportunity to more fully and successfully pursue her art practice and become an active collaborative member of the vibrant Blue Mountains arts community.
